Membership Information

Membership includes Regular (individual or household), Associate and Junior. Individual - $15 per year, Household- $25.00 per year, and Associate - $10.00 per year.

Members and applicants must be in good standing with the American Kennel Club and subscribe to the purposes of this club and its Code of Ethics. The membership is unrestricted as to residence; however, the primary purpose of the club is to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area.

  • Individual/Household: Open to all persons 18 and older. Enjoys all privileges of the club, including voting and holding office. Household being 2 members of the same household.
  • Associate: Entitled to all privileges of the club except voting and holding office.
  • Junior: Open to children under 18 years of age; a non-voting /non-office holding membership which may be automatically converted to regular membership at age 18. Can be included with adult family member with no additional dues required.
  • Individual and household have voting priveleges while associate does not. Membership is open to all persons 18 years of age and older who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes ot this club and its Code of Ethics. Membership is unrestricted as to residence; however the primary purpose f the club is to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area. 

To apply to the club, complete the Application Form and sign the Code of Ethics. Return both to RMEC Club Secretary, 2045 Ashwood Pl. Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. You can also bring the forms with you to one of the club's events. 

Membership renewal forms will be e-mailed to club members no later than the 1st day of December.

Rocky Mountain Earthdog Club (RMEC)

Code of Ethics

This code is established in accordance with the objectives of the Rocky Mountain Earthdog Club as set forth in its constitution and was adopted by majority vote of the Rocky Mountain Earthdog Club members.  It is presented as a guideline for the use of the RMEC and its members.

As a member of the RMEC I shall:

  1. Abide by the constitution and by-laws of the RMEC and the rules of the American Kennel Club.
  1. Consider the welfare of the dogs when engaged in any activities involving breeding, exhibiting, training, working, educating about, keeping or selling Earthdogs.
  1. Conduct myself at all times in a manner that will reflect credit on all phases of purebred dog activities.
  1. Maintain my dogs and those placed in my care in an exemplary manner. To this end I will provide sanitary conditions, fresh water, wholesome food and veterinary care consistent with the highest humane standards.
  1. Exhibit and train only dogs that are sound, healthy and able to perform the job I require the to do.
  1. Use only humane methods to train Earthdogs. I will avoid harsh training methods and will consider my dogs’ welfare and the best interest of the sport of Earthdog when training.
  1. Act as an ambassador for the sport of Earthdog. I will exemplify good sportsmanship in my dealings with others and will strive to encourage and support individuals new to the sport.
  1. Refrain from any activities that would not be in the best interest of the breed and the RMEC.
